V_1344 - Shadow Jubilee getting measured

SHADOW JUBILEE was the star at her own ninth birthday. She is the widest horned Texas Longhorn cow ever measured at this age. At the exact date of nine years she measured 84 1/8" tip to tip. Only one Texas Longhorn cow has ever excelled over this measurement and she is 3 years older than Jubilee. Here at Dickinson Cattle Co. Inc., we are honored to have bred and raised Jubilee. The goal at DCCI is to raise the total animal. Jubilee weighs 1174 lbs., has a puppy dog disposition, colored more dynamic than a Dalmatian, is fertile as a snake bite and a pleasure to look at.

SHADOW JUBILEE knows how to walk through a squeeze chute. She carefully maneuvers her massive spread with the precision of a Rocky Mountain elk. She has 29 half sisters in the DCCI cow herd. Her 5/8 brother Bogus Bonus will be the most senior herd sire this season. Her famous sire THE SHADOW did a professional siring job during his life time at DCCI.

SHADOW JUBILEE and her 2009 son will be featured in a documentary soon to air on RFD TV. Sarah Gardner, anchor of American Heartland will narrate the piece on DCCI. Thanks to Jubilee, national recognition of the historic Texas Longhorn will continue to grow. Our thanks go out to the film crew who spent the day at DCCI. The footage will be awesome with the green Ohio background and cattle just slicking off from winter.

JUBILEE'S pasture companion pictured is JESTER by Winchester. She was ITLA Champion Jr. Cow at the International Championship 2008 show. Jester is still in her forth year and measures 75.38" She is another DCCI total Texas Longhorn. Her half brother is the young herd sire Juma and she has 43 half sisters in the DCCI herd.
